I’ve always struggled with glasses. 👓😩
I’ve always struggled with glasses. As someone who wears them almost constantly, I crave comfort and durability, yet so many frames feel heavy, pinch behind my ears, or just don’t hold up to daily wear and tear. My last pair met an untimely end, leaving me in dire need of a replacement, and this time, I was determined to find something truly lightweight and virtually indestructible. I'd heard whispers about flexible titanium frames, and the idea of a rimless design immediately appealed to my desire for something unobtrusive. My primary goal was to find eyeglasses that I could almost forget I was wearing, something that wouldn't slip down my nose or feel like a burden after a long day. That’s when I stumbled upon Cinily Eyewear’s promise of ultra-light, flexible options.
My search led me to Cinily Eyewear's website, where I spent a good amount of time browsing their extensive collection. The Ultra-light Rimless Flexible Eyeglasses in red instantly caught my eye. The description promised "non-screw memory titanium" and "flexible" design, which sounded exactly like what I needed. I proceeded with my order, opting for the express shipping, as I was quite eager to get my new glasses. However, this is where my journey took a slight turn, echoing some of the frustrations I later read from other customers. I distinctly remember paying the extra fee for "next day delivery," expecting my frames to arrive promptly. Much like another customer, Michael Oakes, expressed in his review, "Their site said “eligible for next day delivery”. That would typically mean “next day”, right? So, I pay for the $19.95 next day delivery fee, pay for my glasses and hours later receive an email stating that “my order is in process and will take 3 business days”. Where is next day?" My experience was strikingly similar; the "next day" promise quickly dissolved into a several-day processing period.
The wait felt longer than it should have, especially given the premium I paid for expedited shipping. My order was placed around February 18th, 2025, and though a shipping label was created on February 20th, the package wasn't actually in UPS's possession until February 21st, arriving on February 24th. This wasn't the "next day delivery" I'd been assured. When I tried to inquire about the delay, I found myself navigating a challenging customer service landscape. Michael Oakes's review perfectly sums up the communication hurdle: "I call their toll free line…automated…no human intervention. I try their “live chat”…automated bot. I email both their customer service and returns department asking for a refund of my $19.95 next day delivery fee since it’s clearly not meeting the requirements…crickets." My attempts to get a clear answer about the shipping delay, and eventually a refund for the express fee, were met with similar automated responses and a feeling of being stuck in a loop. It was only by selecting the "place an order" option that I managed to speak to a human, but even then, resolving the shipping refund felt like pulling teeth.
Despite the frustrating shipping and customer service interaction, when the package finally arrived, my anticipation shifted from anxiety to cautious optimism. The packaging itself was simple and functional, nothing extravagant, but it adequately protected the frames. As I carefully unwrapped the Ultra-light Rimless Flexible Eyeglasses, my initial impression was pure relief. They truly were incredibly light – almost weightless in my hand. The "rimless" aspect was exactly as advertised, giving them a minimalist, barely-there look. The memory titanium arms felt surprisingly sturdy yet incredibly flexible, twisting and bending without any sign of stress. The vibrant red color was subtle but added a nice touch of personality without being overpowering. They certainly looked the part of a premium, comfortable frame, and I was eager to see if their performance would redeem the earlier delivery issues.
After getting my prescription lenses fitted, I started wearing the Ultra-light Rimless Flexible Eyeglasses daily, and I must say, the comfort has been a game-changer. They really do live up to the "ultra-light" promise; there's no pressure on my nose bridge or behind my ears, which was a huge pain point with previous frames. The flexibility of the titanium is fantastic. I can toss them on my desk, or accidentally sit on them (though I try not to!), and they spring right back into shape without bending or breaking. It's a level of durability I haven't experienced before, and it genuinely solves my long-standing issue of easily damaged glasses. However, the shadow of the delivery experience still lingers. Michael Oakes concluded his review by stating, "Still would not recommend this company based on their lack of replies to 6 emails requesting help. Their sugar coated response is lack luster and a poor attempt to cover up their extremely lacking customer service." While I am personally thrilled with the product's quality and performance, I can empathize with the frustration regarding Cinily Eyewear's customer service, which left much to be desired during my shipping ordeal.
So, would I recommend Cinily Eyewear? It’s a complex answer. On one hand, the Ultra-light Rimless Flexible Eyeglasses themselves are absolutely fantastic. They are comfortable, lightweight, and durable – everything I was looking for in a pair of everyday glasses. For someone who prioritizes product quality and needs a robust, barely-there frame, these glasses are an excellent choice. However, I cannot overlook the frustrating experience with shipping expectations and the challenging customer service, as detailed in Michael Oakes's comprehensive review: "This place is nothing more than an automated business that cares nothing about its customers. They are a fraud, ripping customers off for services that they charge for and do NOT provide. … Horrible business. Horrible customer service. Everything is automated and forces you to interact with a live chat bot or an endless phone system that they hope you’ll just give up on from pure frustration. I will NEVER do business with this place again and will spread this review like the plague." While my outcome was ultimately positive because I received a great product and eventually got my shipping fee refunded, others might not have the patience for the process. If you’re prepared for potential shipping delays and are comfortable navigating an automated customer service system, the product itself from Cinily Eyewear is worth considering. But if seamless, guaranteed delivery and immediate, easy support are your top priorities, you might want to proceed with caution.
